Completion of the LIT (Leader in Training) program is required to become a first year Junior Leader (ages 15-17). Click here to find out more about LIT and to register now.

Junior Leaders assist in a cabin or activity. Their leadership skills are developed through the supervision of Collegians and Senior Leaders, and are given more responsibility as they develop.  Junior Leaders must first complete the Leader in Training program. Junior Leaders must serve all weeks of camp unless otherwise approved (boys: 3 weeks, girls: 2 weeks).

Collegian Leaders are college age leaders who typically oversee a cabin group or an activity, and sometimes receive special certified training to help at specific activities, like our High Ropes Challenge Course or Rock Wall. Collegian leaders make up a large portion of our summer staff, and we would love to have you as a part of this team! Collegians must serve all weeks of camp unless otherwise approved (boys: 3 weeks, girls: 2 weeks).

Senior Leaders oversee a cabin group or an activity, such as fishing, canoeing, or sports, and can serve for 1 week or more.

Positions available: Head Cook (18+), Assistant Cook (14+). Members of the kitchen crew will serve during at least one week of camp. They will gain a basic understanding of food safety and service. This job can be demanding but is a necessary part of our ministry here at camp.

Lifeguards will serve during at least one week of camp and will oversee various water activities under the leadership of a Waterfront Director. We are looking for American Red Cross WSI Certified Lifeguards. If you are not yet certified but would like to be, please fill out an application and we will reach out with more information.

The nurse will serve for at least one week of camp (Sun-Fri) and oversee the health of all campers, staff, and volunteers at camp. Responsibilities include medication administration for campers, routine medical procedures, and first aid. Must have a current RN certification. Reports to Camp Director.

Support Raising

We understand that serving at camp involves sacrifice, but it also provides great opportunity! Being a part of this ministry is a blessing, and you have the opportunity to invite others to partner with you in your ministry at camp. We encourage our summer staff to invite ministry partners to support you in your role at camp. This means that they can financially support you while you serve at camp.

1.  You contact people to let them know you will be serving at camp and explain what you will be doing and why. You can do this in person, by phone, email or letters. A combination of all of them is most effective.

2.  You provide them with the opportunity to partner with you by supporting you financially. You can explain to them that their financial support allows you to serve Christ at camp.

3.  You share with them how to partner with you: They send in their support to camp (via mail or online) and designate it to your name – support.

4.  Camp will add your support to your pay, up to the limit shown based on your time of service and position.

There are several helpful documents on the staff resources page. You should have access to that page once accepted onto staff.
