In order to strengthen area churches, we are once again bringing a first class one-day equipping conference to Western NY that is specifically designed for men (age 13 and older). Our 3rd Annual Iron Sharpens Iron Conference will be on October 29, 2011 at The Wesleyan Church of Hamburg. Our speakers from across the country will focus on topics that will equip men to be stronger in the roles God has placed us in.
Our keynote speakers will be Gene Getz, President of the Center for Church Renewal and Bill Paige, Special Assistant to the President in Young Life.
Gene Getz is also a prolific author.Most of his 60 books have grown out of his experience as a pastor. The Measure of a Man is a classic and is used around the world for personal and group study. His most recent publication is Elders and Leaders: God’s Plan for Leading the Church.Gene also hosts a daily radio program called Renewal which is aired nationally and is designed to unfold personal stories of people who have been transformed by the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Bill Paige is a gifted, passionate speaker whose broad appeal is anchored in a depth of life experience that includes 20 years of police and detective work in and around New York City metropolitan area.In addition, Bill served 14 years as the associate chaplain at Children’s Village, working with emotionally disturbed boys in the city, as well as 16 years of senior leadership in Young Life.
Seminar Leaders:Besides our keynote speakers, we will have two “breakout” sessions with eight workshops to choose from on topics designed to meet the needs of men. Seminar leaders will include:
