Executive Board

With the children of God…they are with whom Karen has been called to serve and she LOVES every way, shape or form that this may entail. Camp Hickory Hill has a special niche in Karen’s heart for serving the Lord. She has been involved with Camp Hickory Hill (CHH) as a nurse, the ”helper nurse” coordinator, a parent of a camper, a cook and a kitchen helper for the past seven years. Karen is very excited about the opportunity to work with others on the board to continue the development of CHH facilities and programming to reach the children in our communities so that they will have a relationship with Christ and grow in their Christian life.
Karen has been actively involved with the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg (WCH) since 1999 in several capacities. Her role within the Children’s Ministry at the WCH has evolved to currently include that of a storyteller in large group teaching and a Ministry Coordinator. Also close to her heart is the Vacation Bible School outreach with which she serves as a storyteller/drama co-coordinator and creative-team member. She has been a facilitator for Divorce Care, an adult small group Bible studies leader and a Project Serve participant as well.

Karen is licensed as a pediatric nurse practitioner, registered nurse, certified laser professional and is in the certification process with Buffalo CPR and Continuing Education as an instructor.  She recently accepted a position as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Roswell Park Cancer Institute…PTL!!
